Ice: for Weight Loss


The benefits of using use for ice weight loss, and how you can do this yourself at home.

1. There are many different methods for losing weight, but ice can be used for its low temperature to reduce body fat.

2. You can do this by adding some ice cubes to a waterproof bag, and placing this over areas where you wish to lose fat. Do this for 45 minutes a day.

3. Make sure to place this over a t shirt or cloth so that you don’t harm your skin.

4. If you find that this irritates your skin, remove the ice immediately.

5. You can do this regularly and after two weeks you will start to see results.

6. This works by turning white body fat into brown or beige fat.  

7. When your body is cold, thermogenesis is triggered. The body burns the brown or beige fat to make heat. 

8. You can also purchase plastic ice packs, which you simply place in the freezer. These can be easier to use than ice cubes, which may melt.

9. By exposing your body to cold temperatures regularly, you cause some wonderful health benefits to occur. 

10. The brain becomes sharper, and you become more alert. This is excellent to use in the mornings as an alternative to coffee and caffeinated drinks.

11. You can also have a cold shower immediately after waking up. The exposure to the cold temperature triggers the muscles to release lactic acid. This will give you more energy and reduced muscle tension.

12. This also increases the circulation of the entire body, lowering blood pressure and clearing blocked arteries.

13. Alternatively you can submerge your body in an ice bath for 2 minutes, and then exercise immediately to warm up again. Thermogenesis will instantly begin to heat the body and burn fat.

14. Those who suffer with depression may find that cold therapy makes them feel much better. This happens because the stimulus caused by the cold temperature sends many electrical signals to the brain, which boosts the mood. 

15. Ice packs can also be used on aching joints and muscles to relieve pain and bring down the swelling.

16. This also works particularly well for hemorrhoids, sunburn and toothaches.

17. If you suffer with acne or pimples, you can simply hold an ice pack on the skin for 2-3 minutes. (Be sure to wrap the ice pack in a cloth, to prevent skin irritation.)

18. Dark circles under the eyes can also be helped using the method above. This causes the blood vessels to constrict which reduces the darkness. You can also use a little lavender oil to moisturize afterwards.

19. If you have nausea or are feeling sick, you can chew some ice cubes. This may cause pain for those with sensitive teeth and gums, but will relieve the sick feeling. 

20. If you have eye strain, or tension in the facial muscles. Place a towel in some ice water for a few minutes. Then place the cold cloth across the eyes and cheekbones. This will relieve pain and restore your vision to some extent.
