Garlic In Ear: Health Benefits


The benefits of putting garlic in the ear, and how you do this yourself at home.

1. Garlic is well known as a strong smelling bulb, used in cooking, but it has also been used for thousands of years as a natural medicine.

2. Ancient cultures including Egyptians, the Babylonians, The Greeks, Romans and Chinese all used garlic cloves to treat medical problems. 

3. It was also used to treat ear infections due to it being a natural antibiotic.

4. You can do this yourself at home when you have an earache. Simply press down on a head of 
garlic and take out one of the cloves. Peel off the outer skin and place this in the ear overnight for at least 2-3 hours.

5. This clove fits perfectly in the ear in most individuals.

6. You will experience pain relief from both earaches and headaches using this method, due to the powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

7. Unwanted bacteria in the ear, will be destroyed by the active ingredients within garlic, including allicin and other thiosulfinates,

8. In order to fight off any cold of flu you may have, I recommend eating lots of garlic during the period of illness to fight off the infection faster.

9. In some instances, garlic has been shown scientifically to be far better than modern antibiotic treatments.

10. Using garlic in the ear also helps loosen earwax. You could also use garlic oil, if you prefer.

11. This may cause an unpleasant aroma, due to the strength of garlic, however this is the price of this particular natural medicine.

12. You may experience a warm sensation in the ear, or heat after placing the clove inside. This is normal, please don’t be concerned unless you experience additional pain.

13. Garlic also contains some healthy vitamins and minerals including manganese, selenium, fibre, calcium, copper, potassium, phosphorus, iron, vitamins B and C.

14. Eating this super food regularly will maintain a healthy body, with an effective immune system. 

15. Garlic extract has been shown to effectively cure hypertension and high blood pressure.

16. If you dislike the taste of garlic, you can buy capsules which contain garlic extract. Please do not put these in your ear however.

17. Alzheimer’s disease and dementia may be prevented with the regular consumption of garlic, due to it increasing antioxidant enzymes in the body.

18. You can make a simply cough medicine, by crushing a garlic head and adding 5 tablespoons of honey. Also add a dash of sage or thyme. Allow this mixture to soak for 3 hours then strain. Drink this regularly to ease coughing.
