11 Benefits and Uses for Guava Fruit [Video]


Guava is absolutely delicious, but it also has some great health benefits and uses.



1. The most common variety is the apple guava, which contains a tasty pink flesh. Eating this fruit regularly can provide you with an enormous amount of health benefits, most of which we will cover in this short video

2. The guava plant grows primarily in warm climates, including Africa, Asia, Mexico and Central America. Once harvested they can be eaten or used to create a health tonic.

3. When eaten or drank, it has been used to treat bleeding gums due to its anti-inflammatory properties

4. The fruit also acts as a laxative for those suffering with constipation, and can also lower blood pressure when regularly eaten due to its high fibre content.

5. In larger quantities, the fruit has also been attributed to treat hyperlipidaemia and hypertension.

7. Carrying extra weight is extremely common with the modern lifestyle. Eating fresh fruits, such as the guava daily, helps to regulate your metabolism and help with weight loss. It can be a very filling snack, during diets also.

9. With high volumes of vitamins and anti-oxidants they also help to keep the skin looking younger and help to reduce daily dehydration.

10. Both the leaves and the fruit are very beneficial in regulating blood pressure, due to their ability to lowering the levels of cholesterol and triglycerides.

11. In order to really get the benefits, I recommend making guava juice. This can be done by blending the flesh with a cup of water to make a pulp. You can then strain this with a muslin cloth or a strainer, leaving you with a tasty and healthy juice.
